The opening ceremony of the 6th Sports and Physical Training Competition was organized with some processions of flags, Uncle Ho’s portrait from the Lion Dance team, together with marching to praise the forces of Armed Force, agencies, units, organizations, communes and towns. The co-performance with the topic "Be healthy to build our country” includes 3 chapters: Following your predecedors; Lac Thuy’s beautiful homeland; and Flowers for the Party, which was performed by the pupils of Lac Thuy A High School. It came out to be an attractive and impressive performance at the ceremony.
The 6th Sports and Physical Training Competition in 2017 attracted more than 1,000 athletes from all the communes and towns to participate in 9 competing subjects: volleyball, football, tug of war, stick pushing, crossbow shooting, badminton, table tennis, marathon and athletics, 7 of which had been organized before the opening ceremony and the rest 2 subjects of volleyball and athletics were organized on the opening ceremony day. At this competition festival, 100% of the communes, wards had organized the Sports and Physical Training Competitions and attracted more than 2,400 athletes to participate in all subjects. Therefore, the outstanding athletes would be selected to participate in the 6thSports and Physical Training Competitions of Hoa Binh Province in 2018.

At the opening
ceremony, the district People’s Committee presented the certificates of merits
to 7 units of well organizing Sports and Physical Training competitions,
including: communes of Lien Hoa, Dong Mon, Phu Lao, Phu Thanh, Lac Long, Co
Nghia and Chi Ne town.
Right after the
opening ceremony, the athletes competed in volleyball and athletics. In the
end, the organizers awarded the first prize for the team of Thanh Nong commune,
the second prize for An Binh commune and the third prize for Chi Ne Town.
