In the morning of May 15th, the Provincial Confederation of Labor coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the 2024 steam volleyball tournament for workers and civil servantsin Hoa Binh province.

Thuy district’s volleyball team and the Provincial Public Security took place
fiercely with many beautiful plays.
The tournament has brought
together 30 teams with over 400 athletes from the Labor Confederation of the
districts, the city, the trade unions and Provincial Public Security. These are
the teams selected from the tournaments held at the grassroots trade union and
directly superior of the districts and the appropriate authorities. With the
two contents of the men's and women's steam volleyball competitions, the
Organizing Committee drew lots and divided the round-robin competition tables
to select the teams with the excellent achievements to participate in the
semi-finals and finals.
The 2024 Hoa Binh
Province’s Steam Volleyball Tournament is an opportunity for the officials, the
union members and the employees in the province to exchange, learn, exercise,
and create an exciting atmosphere to celebrate the 134th birthday of President
Ho Chi Minh. Minh (May 19th, 1890 - May 19th, 2024) and
celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade
Union (July 28th, 1929 - July 28th, 2024).
Recently, the martial artists from our province left a lasting impression at the 2024 Northern Vovinam Championship organized by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Nam Dinh Province in collaboration with the Sports Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism) and the Vietnam Vovinam Federation. This championship has attracted the participation of over 300 athletes and coaches from 13 delegations representing various provinces and cities in the Northern region. The participants competed in 73 categories, including martial arts performances and sparring.
Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Quach Thi Kieu, who is also head of the organising board for the celebration of the International Day of Yoga (June 21) in Hoa Binh province, chaired a meeting on the event on June 6.
At the National Championship for Stick Pushing and Tug of War in 2024 taking place in Dak Lak recently, a delegation of athletes from Hoa Binh province participated in both events. For stick pushing, they participated in 9 weight categories and won 1 gold medal, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. Notably, the two young athletes who were both born in 2006 are the children of Van Son commune (Lac Son) and have contributed a lot to the province's competition achievements.
In Thuong Coc commune (Lac Son), there are over 9,000 people, living in 14 hamlets. Recently, the commune has increased propaganda for the people so that they practice physical training and sports to improve health; Each person chooses a suitable sport and type of exercise, creating the healthy living habit. From there, it contributes to improving the physical and mental health, the enthusiasm for production, and joining hands to build an increasingly rich, beautiful, and civilized homeland.
Recently, Hoa Binh province's sports delegation competed in the 18th National Championship for stick pushing in 2024 and the 12th National Championship for tug-of-war in 2024. Winning the precious medals is the motivation for the coaches and the athletes to continue improving their performance in the coming years.
