On August 6th, the Ministry of Education and Training coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Hai Phong City to organize the closing ceremony of the 10th National Phu Dong Festival in 2024.

achievements at the 10th National Phu Dong Festival.
The 10th National Phu Dong Festival was held in 2 phases:
Phase I - the region takes place from April 18th to June 22nd; Phase II - nationwide takes place from July
25 - August 6. There are more than 20 thousand athletes from 63 provinces and
cities across the country participating in 15 sports.

This year's national Phu Dong Festival has the largest
scale ever, demonstrating the interest and support of the local authorities at
all levels for the education sector. This is also a signal showing the maturity
of the school sports.
After nearly 10 days of exciting competition in phase II
in Hai Phong City, the athletes demonstrated their skills and sports qualities
and achieved the outstanding achievements. The organizing committee awarded 271
sets of medals to the outstanding athletes.
At the end of the National Phu Dong Festival, the
Organizing Committee ranked the achievements based on the medal table.
Accordingly, 10 units have the best achievements, 20 units have good
achievements, and 10 units in the mountainous areas and Central Highlands are
excellent. Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi City, and Hai Phong City ranked first,
second, and third respectively in the entire group.
Hoa Binh delegation participated in out of the 15
competitions, including Secondary school football, table tennis, volleyball,
badminton, Karate, Taekwondo, Vovinam, Aerobic gymnastics, and athletics with
the participation of 80 athletes and 23 officials and coaches.
As a result, Hoa Binh delegation won 2 gold medals and 10
silver medals (the medals and the points of phase II multiplied by a factor of
2). In the total of 2 phases of the 10th National Phu Dong Festival, Hoa Binh
delegation won 5 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 53 bronze medals. The entire
team scored 1,335 points, ranked 23rd out of the 63 participating provinces and
cities. Hoa Binh delegation was awarded a unit flag with the good achievements
by the Ministry of Education and Training at the 10th National Phu Dong
Festival, 2024.

At the end of July, the youth of Hoa Binh City were excited by the reunion of hip-hop dancers during the Peace City 3 Hiphop competition. With the vibrant music and over 100 dancers, they showed their talents, skills, and the powerful spirit of the warriors driven by a burning passion for hip-hop. Each dancer brought their unique style and personality, delivering performances full of positive energy, joy, and moments of euphoria and emotional outbursts to the audience.
The first Expanded Youth Table Tennis Tournament of Hoa Binh Province in 2024 has recently occurred at the Provincial Sports Stadium. The tournament featured nearly 200 athletes from various table tennis clubs inside and outside the province. This sports event aims to promote the campaign "All people do exercises following the example of Great Uncle Ho” and it gradually helps develop the table tennis training movement among teenagers and children in Hoa Binh Province and neighboring provinces.
In the morning of June 30th, at Hoa Binh Square, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Indian Embassy in Hanoi to organize the International Yoga Day in Hoa Binh province in 2024. There was the attendance of Mr. Bui Duc Hinh, the Deputy Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and the leaders of a number of the appropriate departments, branches, unions... On the side of the Indian Embassy, there was Mr. S. Chinpau Ngaihte, the First Secretary (the Department of Economics, Trade & Development). There was the participation of 500 trainers and the members from 18 Yoga clubs in districts and the city in the province.
