To make tourism a key economic sector, Da Bac district has focused on investing in infrastructure, diversifying tourism products, and enhancing promotion efforts to create breakthroughs in developing the smokeless industry.

tourism potential and advantages.
The Da Bac Community-based Tourism joint Stock
Company (Da Bac CBT) was established to partner with the community to promote
sustainable tourism development and create livelihoods for local residents.
Lo Thi Trang, Deputy Director of Da Bac CBT,
said that for the last eight years, the community-based tourism model in Da Bac
has made solid progress. A community-based tourism coordinating board was
established, helping residents actively manage and operate services and share
benefits. Tourism services are getting increasingly diverse with improved
quality, attracting and retaining both domestic and international tourists.
Additionally, tourism units have also focused on
connecting with the market and attracting visitors, generating stable income
for locals.
Trang said that Da Bac CBT aims for sustainable
development with three main focuses – diversifying tourism products and
improving experiences of the local culture; enhancing the community's
self-management capacity to help residents proactively operate tourism business
models, ensure service quality, and preserve the landscape; and boosting
promotion and collaboration with the media, targeting suitable tourist markets,
and prioritising sustainable tourism development.
However, there remain many challenges to the
realisation of these goals, she noted, pointing out that unfavourable transport
infrastructure is a hurdle and authorities should work to improve.
Dinh Van Sanh, owner of Sanh Thuan homestay in
Ke hamlet of Hien Luong commune, also said that comprehensive investment in
transport infrastructure will provide a crucial driving force for tourism
development in the locality.
He said improved transport infrastructure can
better connect Ke hamlet with other community-based tourism sites such as Da
Bia in Tien Phong commune or Sung hamlet in Cao Sơn commune. When roads are
expanded, tourists can conveniently explore the area around Hoa Binh Lake.
Luong Van Thi, Chairman of the Da Bac district
People's Committee, said the district has been actively implementing transport
projects. It is focusing on renovating and upgrading important transport roads
such as the Enh (Tan Minh) - Yen Hoa, Cao Son - Tien Phong, and Cao Son - Trung
Thanh roads.
It requested investors to accelerate the
construction of the lakeside road from Vay Nua to Tien Phong, facilitating transportation
and promoting socio-economic development, especially tourism, in the reservoir
area.
The district has also actively collaborated with
the media, various communication channels, YouTubers, and TikTokers to promote
local tourism. In the coming time, it will continue to innovate its
communication methods, applying digital technology and social media to reach
more tourists, Sanh said.
At the same time, the locality will focus on
developing distinctive tourism products that combine tourism with cultural
preservation to leave impression on visitors.
