(HBO) - Hoa Binh City is one of five districts and cities of Hoa Binh province in the planning of construction and development of Hoa Binh Lake National Tourist Area.

Mr. Dinh Van Xung, Head of the Department of Culture and Information, Hoa Binh City said: Developing tourism in Hoa Binh lake is the focus of the city's tourism development strategy.

In oder to develop tourism in Hoa Binh lake, the city plans to build routes, tourist spots in the city and inter-region including: tourist route of Hoa Binh hydropower plant - Hoa Binh lake, Thac Bo temple - Thac Bo cave . Hoa Binh Lake tourist route - ethnic cultural villages in Thai Thinh commune. Hoa Binh city tourist route - Muong Culture Space Museum.

Hoa Binh City is surveying tour routes by bike and walking: Voi hamlet, Thai Thinh commune - Vay Nua commune (Da Bac district), Bich Tru hamlet, Thai Thinh commune - Ranh village, Cao Son commune (Da Bac district). Hoa Binh city invests in developing high-class resort model, spiritual tourism and Muong cultural identity at Bich Tru hamlet, Thai Thinh commune.

In addition, at the end of May 2019, Hoa Binh City successfully organized the Conference on tourism product development. Since then, linking tourism development in Hoa Binh city with other localities.

Hoa Binh City has 120 accommodation establishments. In which, 14 hotels from 1-3 star and 106 guesthouses with 1,502 rooms, 70 cruise ships.

In 6 months of 2019, Hoa Binh City attracted 355,215 visitors (up 10.4% compared to the same period in 2018), total revenue from tourism reached 104 billion VND.

In the first 9 months of 2024, Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province welcomed over 684 thousand visitors to visit and relax. In which, over 516 thousand domestic visitors and more than 168 thousand international visitors. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at over 821 billion VND.
