(HBO) – Mai Chau district of Hoa Binh province has taken various measures to attract investment and develop tourism in a modern and professional way, in line with cultural identity conservation in the locality. The district also pays attention to environmental protection.

In addition, Mai Chau
has bolstered communication work and business expansion, working with domestic
and international investors and travel agencies in a bid to strengthen
socio-economic development.
However, since the
start of 2020, tourist arrivals to the district have declined compared to the
same period last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Statistics of the
district’s office of culture and sports showed that Mai Chau welcomed 39,854
holidaymakers in Q1, including 10,763 foreigners and 29,091 domestic tourists.
The district earned
29.29 billion VND (1.25 million USD) from tourism in the period.
At present, it is
making preparations to resume tourism operation as the COVID-19 situation has
become stable, especially for the national holidays of Liberation Day and May
