(HBO) - In Mai Chau district, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has organized a training course on tourism skills for the households doing business in community tourism services in two communes, Hang Kia and Pa Co.

The learners are participating in training course on a business community tourism in Mai Chau district.

There are 20 trainees participating in the training course, who are directly involved in making schedules at the households doing community tourism in 2 communes, Hang Kia and Pa Co. At the training course, the trainees heard lecturers convey the main contents such as some guidelines and policies of the Party and State on tourism development, the directives, the resolutions and the schemes of the province on Hoa Binh tourism development in general and Mai Chau tourism in particular. 

They also heard some skills in communication, behavior, handling of common situations in tourism activities, tourism culture, the methods of capturing the psychology, customs and practices of tourists in a number of regions and countries. The lecturers talked about preserving, exploiting and developing the cultural identity of Mong ethnic people in association with developing community tourism, and how to build specific products to serve tourists, marketing and selling tourism products ...

Through the training course, the trainees have been equipped with some basic knowledge and professional skills on tourism, improving the quality of the human resources for the households doing community tourism in the two communes, Hang Kia and Pa Co, which contributes to implementing the targets to turn Mai Chau district into the tourism area at the provincial level in the near future.

In the first 9 months of 2024, Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province welcomed over 684 thousand visitors to visit and relax. In which, over 516 thousand domestic visitors and more than 168 thousand international visitors. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at over 821 billion VND.
