The Xuan Son cement plant project, developed by Xuan Khiem Group, was approved by the Prime Minister under document No. 11337 issued on December 12, 2019, and by the Hoa Binh People’s Committee under Decision No. 35 dated May 28, 2020. With a total investment of nearly 5 trillion VND (196.28 million USD), the plant spans 40 hectares and is one of the largest cement production facilities in the region, with an annual production capacity exceeding 2.3 million tonmes. The plant is equipped with fully integrated, state-of-the-art production lines using the most advanced technology available.

The Xuan Son cement plant is designed as a modern, green, and digital factory. It integrates cutting-edge production technologies in collaboration with global leaders such as Sinoma Tianjin, Polysius, Ha-ver & Boec-ker, and ABB. The facility is engineered for maximum energy efficiency, consuming less than 680 kcal/kg of clinker, under 40 kWh/tonne of clinker, and less than 25 kWh/tonne of cement.

Additionally, the plant uses waste treatment technology to generate electricity from excess heat and significantly reduce NOx and CO₂ emissions, striving for environmentally friendly, sustainable cement production. By 2030, the plant aims to ramp up production to 6 million tonnes annually, positioning itself as a leading cement brand in Vietnam with ambitions for a strong presence in regional and global markets.

Speaking at the launch, Quach Tat Liem, Vice Chairman of the Hoa Binh People’s Committee, congratulated Xuan Khiem Group for the timely debut of Xuan Son cement products. He reaffirmed that the project is part of the province’s priority list for industrial development, aimed at optimising local resources and boosting production value. He expressed confidence that the project will not only provide stable employment for nearly 500 workers with competitive wages but also contribute to the province’s industrial growth rate of 14-15% annually, as outlined in its development plans, while positively impacting the national budget.

Liem asked local authorities and residents in the area to facilitate the operation of the factory, and requested investors to strictly adhere to regulations on environmental protection, land management, fire safety, and occupational health, with a particular emphasis on employing local workers.

At the event, Xuan Son cement plant presented certificates to 52 distributors of its products nationwide.
