(HBO) – The Hoa Binh provincial People’s Committee targeted 1.437 billion USD in exports and 1.097 billion USD in imports this year. Since the start of 2022, the administration has ordered relevant departments, sectors, and localities to jointly work to tackle difficulties and facilitate trading activities.

A garment factory in Tan Lac district has provided jobs for about 200 workers and considerably contributed to the province’s export value.

Hoa Binh has been working to fully capitalise on free trade agreements and expand export markets so as to boost overseas shipments, especially the commodities with high added value. Efforts are also being made to attract investment to developing logistics services and infrastructure so as to improve export and import efficiency. In addition, the province is stepping up the implementation of a project on developing export markets for local key agricultural products for 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.

In February, Hoa Binh recorded about 112.91 million USD in exports and 91.24 million USD in imports, respectively rising 2.13 percent and 2.9 percent month on month. That raised the respective two-month figures to 223.47 million USD and 179.92 million USD, up 15.83 percent and 15.34 percent year on year, and equivalent to 15.55 percent and 16.4 percent of this year’s respective targets./.
