With their great efforts and determination, Hoa Binh’s students won the second prize in the regional round of the Robotics Innovation Contest 2024 in the northern region, getting a ticket to the final round in Hanoi on November 30. The contest was hosted by the Centre of Science and Technology Development for Youth under the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee at the Isaac Newton Primary School in Hanoi on November 16.

It attracted 157 teams, including 69 teams in the R1 category (for pupils from primary schools) competing in combat matches with the theme "Robot building a space base;" and 88 teams in the R2 category (for students from secondary schools), competing for points with matches themed " Space travel robot.”
Hoa Binh was represented by three teams, with six contestants from Kim Dong Secondary School in Tan Lac district.
The teams competed enthusiastically, demonstrating their talent, passion, enthusiasm, creativity, logical thinking, and skills in designing, assembling, and programming robots.
The competition is not only a playground for students to demonstrate their talents and passions, but also a bridge to help them approach new technology trends and develop essential skills such as creative thinking, communication and teamwork.
The contest also contributed to encouraging the application of technology in daily life, helping students better understand the role of science and technology in solving practical problems and improving the quality of life.
Da Bac district, like many other localities, faces challenges such as unemployment and unstable job opportunities, with an average 900 labourers needing vocational training annually and nearly 1,000 looking for jobs.
