Implementing the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress to reach a health insurance coverage rate of 95% or more of the population, the Women's Union at all provincial levels has deployed the creative models and methods and effectively replicated them. These activities not only contribute to completing the social security goals, but they also spread the spirit of solidarity and sharing in the community.

The Women's Union and Cao Phong District’s Social Insurance has coordinated to organize communication on the social insurance and family health insurance in Binh Thanh commune.

Ms. Hoang Thi Duyen, the Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union, says: With the motto "For the family health, for a sustainable community”, in recent years, the Women's Union at all levels has implemented many models to support the women members to access health insurance. A typical example is the model "Mobilizing women to save to buy health insurance - For the family health”. Through saving on daily expenses, the members have contributed to the fund to buy health insurance for themselves and their families.

In addition, the models "Raising plastic pigs to save to buy health insurance”, and "Collecting scrap to buy health insurance for the poor women members” have attracted the enthusiastic participation of the women members. These initiatives have helped the members in difficult circumstances, creating a sense of responsibility and awareness of saving in the community.

In 2024, the Women's Union at all levels organized 225 propaganda sessions on the policies and laws related to the voluntary social insurance (VSI) and health insurance, attracting the participation of over 18,200 members. Thereby, it helps the members better understand their rights and obligations when buying health insurance, and at the same time, it helps answer the questions about the state's supporting policies for the vulnerable groups.

With the active advocacy, the Union has supported the members to buy 9,956 health insurance cards, ensuring the right to the medical examination and treatment for many women and disadvantaged families. In addition, 234 models of "Health Insurance for the Family Health” continue to be maintained and expanded, creating the positive effects in the community.

Ms. Bui Thi Dung, the chairwoman of the Women's Union of Bac Phong Commune (Cao Phong) says: During the year, the women's associations in the commune have expanded the model of "Collecting scrap to raise funds, protecting the environment” to create a fund to buy health insurance to support the disadvantaged women. The model not only helps the members access health insurance but it also contributes to building the community awareness, arousing the spirit of solidarity and mutual love.

The chairwoman Yen Thuy Women's Union, Ms. Bui Thi Dan says: In 2024, the Women's Union at all levels in the district continue to maintain 27 models of "Mobilizing women to save money to buy health insurance - For the family health” with the participation of 1,680 members. The Women's Union's bases have promoted and mobilized 2,278 health insurance cards and 35 voluntary social insurance books. Some establishments have performed well, such as Yen Tri commune has issued 835 health insurance cards and 3 social insurance books; Phu Lai commune has 560 health insurance cards; Lac Thinh commune has 273 health insurance cards and 5 social insurance books; Doan Ket commune has 217 health insurance cards and 2 social insurance books... The consensus and joint efforts of the Union at all levels have contributed to ensuring health benefits for the members, improving the quality of life, and completing the goal of universal health insurance coverage.

The chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union, Ms. Hoang Thi Duyen adds: In the coming time, the Provincial Women's Union will continue to replicate the good models and initiatives, and at the same times, it is necessary to strengthen propaganda and mobilization to ensure that more and more female employess and their families buy health insurance. This is both a concrete action to realize the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress and a joint effort to build a sustainably developed society in which no one is left behind.

The creative models of the Provincial Women's Union are a testament to the power of the community when each individual can make a small but meaningful contribution to creating great changes for society. "For the family health, for a sustainable future” is the goal that the Hoa Binh Women's Union is trying to achieve.
