(HBO) - By April of 2018, the whole Luong Son district has 24 schools meeting the standards of national schools, accounting for 40%.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Head of Luong Son Education and Training Board said: The task of building national standard schools is always determined as a focused task by the industry. The district aims to promote the construction of schools under national standards to ensure the conditions of teaching and learning, creating motivation to improve the quality of comprehensive education at schools. The target being set by the end of 2018 is that the district will have 27 schools meeting national standards, accounting for 45.8% of total schools in the district.

In the process of implementation, the Education and Training Industry has made many efforts to implement a variety of synchronized  and reasonable solutions in accordance with the actual situations of each school. The first thing is to promote the role of the Construction Management Committee for the constructions of schools to meet the national standards at districts, communes and township levels; clearly assigning the duties of each member. The next thing is to actively review and evaluate the status quo, the results achieved according to each criterion, well implementing the inspection, urgent, evaluation and withdrawing the experience for timely adjustment. At the same time, it is necessary to efficiently allocate and use state budget sources and other capital sources for new investment and upgrading of material bases and teaching equipment; promoting the education socialization tasks to mobilize all resources to build school facilities.

 

Talking with us, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Principal of Thanh Luong Primary and Secondary School said: The work of building national standard schools is actively being implemented by our school. Expenditures for investment in construction, repair and teaching equipment is estimated at over 1.5 billion VND, of which the school will renovate and repair two classrooms, auxiliary works for its primary school and furniture for students, teachers, and  department rooms. In addition to improving facilities, the school has paid attention to improve the quality of management staff, teachers and staff, to attach importance to the self-study, self-fostering, planning and good implementation of the training to improve the quality of the staff. At the same time, the school efficiently implements the innovation in teaching methods, to promote the students' autonomy, initiative and creativity; enhancing the use of modern equipment and IT applications in the teaching process.
