(HBO) - After the propaganda, mobilization, understanding the great humanitarian values from blood donation activity, Ms. Trinh Thi Hong Thu (photo), in Sub-zone 8, Luong Son town , Luong Son district has become a typical volunteer in blood donation movement of Hoa Binh province with 32 times participating.
Understanding the meaning of the blood
donation movement, Ms. Hong Thu actively participated in blood donation
activity. For many years, whenever the Voluntary Blood Donation Committee of
Luong Son District organized blood donation day, Ms. Thu registered to
participate the event. Ms. Hong Thu said: Many people keep saying that blood
donation will affect health but each time I came to donate blood, I found that
my health is still very good. Even each time I gave a blood donation, I was
given a free health examination from my blood pressure checkup and this could
also help me diagnose some diseases soon after doing some tests before donating
the blood. In addition, the doctors and nurses confirmed that blood donation
can help prevent diseases caused by excessive iron such as cancer, heart
disease.
Ms. Hong Thu not only gave many voluntary
blood donations, but she also became an active volunteer of the Red Cross to
propagate for voluntary blood donation movements. The propaganda and
mobilization of Ms. Thu is very special. In addition to sharing the meaning of
participating in blood donation with relatives, friends, Ms. Thu also
propagated by her own action. Since the first volunteer blood donation movement
in 2000, Ms. Thu has donated blood for 32 times and will continue to donate
blood to bring the opportunity and hope of living for the patients.
On March 14th, the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc coordinated with the Provincial Employees' Trade Union to organize the contest "Family meal - warm and loving”. The activity aims to celebrate the International Day of Happiness, March 20th, and the 66th anniversary of the founding of the Provincial Agencies’ Party Committee (March 27th, 1958 - March 27th, 2024).
Over the past years, Mai Chau district has concretised policies, mobilised resources, and integrated the State’s investment and support programmes into its socio-economic development, aiming to help ethnic minority groups improve their living standards.
As many as 79,988 locals joined compulsory social security scheme as of February, accounting for 93.76% of the annual plan and up 1.5% from the same time last year. There were 71,830 people covered with unemployment insurance, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%. Meanwhile, 796,322 held health insurance cards, or 90% of the population.
Toan Son commune in Da Bac district, with 70% of its population being ethnic minority people, has mobilised resources and created favourable conditions for local residents to access concessional loans to develop production. Thanks to the efforts, local livelihoods have seen positive changes.
Last year, the provincial health sector stepped up patriotic movements, encouraging its staff to improve their professional knowledge and skills, contributing to raising the quality of medical check-up and treatment.
