According to the verdict, Thuy got acquainted
with a woman named Vuong while travelling in Moc Chau, Son La in July 2017. Sometime
later, Vuong made many phone calls to Thuy to persuade her to sell drugs from
Son La to Hanoi to earn profits. If Thuy accepted the offer, Vuong would
introduce sellers to her so that the two sides can communicate directly, and
Thuy agreed. Via Vuong, Thuy knew an ethnic minority man named Vung in Moc
Chau. Vung later contacted Thuy to discuss about drug dealing. However, Thuy
said that she has no cash but only a seven-seat car Mercedez Benz, and she also
does not have clients to sell drugs. Thuy and Vung later agreed that Thuy drove
the car to Son La in exchange for drugs. At the same time, he would lend her another
car to bring drugs to Hanoi, and promised to introduce buyers to her upon her
arrival in Hanoi.
After reaching the deal with Vung, Thuy drove her
car to Moc Chau to exchange for drugs on
August 1. The car was valued at 4 billion VND. Vung agreed to exchange it for
30 heroin cakes and lent her a Mazda pickup truck to carry drugs to Hanoi. As
soon as she arrived in Hanoi, Vung would show her the place where heroin cakes
were hidden in the truck and introduce buyers. After receiving the car with 30
heroin cakes hidden inside, Thuy drove it to Hanoi. When she reached Hoa Binh,
she was arrested along with 30 heroin cakes weighing as much as 10,440.79 gram
and several related objects.
At the investigative police office and the trial,
Thuy pleaded guilty. Her confession matched documents and evidence collected
during the investigation. After reviewing the full process of the case, the jury
of the provincial People's Court handed a death penalty to her./.
