(HBO) – The last heavy raining time over a large area recently seriously affected the production and life of people in the province with a total damage value of nearly 1.296 billion VND. Particularly, floods have caused many areas of landslides, seriously threatening the lives of people living there.

The Road 445, May Giay hamlet, Dan Ha commune (Ky Son) is being severely slid down, a part of the road is sloping into Da River bank.

Heavy rains in the province have caused almost all types of natural disasters including landslides, flash floods, floods, serious destructing the infrastructure and causing great impacts on production and life of the local people. According to the summary from the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Victim Rescue, by the end of July, the total loss due to natural disasters, floods was estimated at 1,125.9 billion VND. In terms of production, there are 3,550 hectares of rice, hundreds of hectares of vegetables and fruit trees, hundreds of cattle; nearly 1 thousand numbers of poultry were swept away due to flood.

Facing with the above situation, the provincial People's Committee drastically directed the functional branches and local authorities to actively mobilize forces and means to overcome the consequences of heavy rains and floods.
