(HBO) - The Veteran Association of Xuan Phong commune (Cao Phong) currently has 257 members, living in 10 branches. The Association always arouses the spirit of pioneering, examples of the members in the movement emulations of economic development, environmental protection, humanitarian, charity, etc.

The Veteran Association actively cooperates
with the authorities and mass organizations to organize 10 propaganda sessions
on the meaning and importance of environmental protection. The events attracted
more than 800 participants. Since the beginning of 2018, 10 out of 10 branches
of the Association have organized and implemented to clean the village roads,
alleys, clearing canals, opening up sewers, which attracted a large number of
officials, members, and local people to participate. In Ru Giua village, more
than 40 members of the Veteran Association contributed to the construction of
clean water projects worth 23 million VND, providing clean water for more than
20 households.
This has made the improvement in the material
life of members, contributing to economic development, the movement of

concerned by the Association at all levels. At present, the Association accepts
the authority from members to develop their economy and expand the production
models with the total fund of 145 million VND; the average contribution is 500,000
VND / member. The Association helps the poor members to get borrowed money for
economic development, renovation of their houses, construction of clean water
works and practical activities, many of whom have boldly invested and expanded
their economic models, actively converting plants and animals efficiently,
applying science and technology into production to get stable incomes.
In the area of the commune, there have been
many examples of veterans doing economic development, production and business as
typically as Mr. Bui Minh Hien, Ru 6 village with integrated livestock models,
which brings income of nearly 200 million VND per year; Mr. Bui Van Quyen, Ru
Giua village with the model of orange planting gets the income of 200 million
VND per year; Mr. Bui Van Han, Ru 4 village with the model of planting orange,
grapefruit, etc. gets the income of 150 million VND per year. In addition, over
the years, many members have escaped from poverty by boldly transforming crops.
From the beginning of 2018 up to now, seven households have successfully
escaped from poverty, the percentage of poor members has dropped to 18.28%.
