(HBO) – The trade union of the Hoa Binh branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP), in collaboration with the bank’s transaction office in Cao Phong district and the People’s Committee of Tay Phong commune, handed over a charity house to a poor family in Bang hamlet, Tay Phong commune.


VBSP representatives and leaders of Tay Phong commune handed over the house to Bui Thi Ruoi, a resident in Bang hamlet, Tay Phong commune, Cao Phong district.   

 Bui Thi Ruoi, 82, lived on her own in a dilapidated wooden stilt house. With a donation of 20 million VND from the trade union of the VBSP’s provincial branch, the VBSP transaction office in Cao Phong district joined hands with Tay Phong commune authorities to upgrade her house. Local residents also contributed in the form of labour. After the upgrade, the house had a new corrugated iron roof, a new yard, and a water tank. The work completed after two months.

 At the handing-over event, representatives of the local authorities and the owner of the house expressed their heartfelt gratitude toward the support they have received./.

The model of efficient energy lighting - Spreading the light of education

Since 2021, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting (CIIDC) under the Department of Industry and Trade has been implementing a school lighting model as part of the plan for using energy efficiently and economically in Hoa Binh Province in the pẻiod of 2021 - 2025. This model not only aims to improve the learning conditions and enhance the education quality, but it also promotes the message of energy saving, energy security, environmental protection and contributes to the goals of socio-economic development.

Progress in ethnic minority education

In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the entire Hoa Binh provincial education sector includes 520 educational institutions and schools. Among them are 13 ethnic boarding schools with 153 classes and 4,487 students. Four of these schools have met national standards, reaching 30.7 percent.
