(HBO) - The Study Encouragement Association of Tan Thanh Commune currently has 3 study encouragement boards (2 school study encouragement boards and 1 office study encouragement board), 11 study encouragement branches with 1,627 members.


The officials of the Study Encouragement Association of Tan Thanh Commune regularly meet, encourage pupils in the commune to overcome difficulties and study well.

 

Talking with us, Ms. Quach Thi Thanh, the Chairman of Study Encouragement Association of Tan Thanh Commune said that except for poor and near poor households, the commune mobilized each family to contribute a study promotion fund of 20,000 VND / month. Besides the mobilization of all members in the commune, in October each year, on the occasion of Vietnam Study Encouragement Day, the Study Encouragement Association continued to campaign for the second time, each staff, teacher, civil servant and employee supports one day's salary and the producers and traders in the locality support depending on their possibilities. Therefore, on average, the Association encourages the study encouragement fund up to over 35 million VND each year. This money is mainly used to give gifts to pupils, teachers with high achievements, or passing the entrance exams to colleges, universities, excellent pupils at all levels or in difficult circumstances at the Great Unity Day in residential areas. On the occasion of the opening of the school year 2018 - 2019, the Commune Association donated 3 bicycles, 10 presents to poor students overcoming difficulties, and rewarded 30 teachers with excellent achievements in the school year of 2017 - 2018.

Some movements in the commune such as "Raising Saving Pigs", "Promotion Study Drum" have been developed extensively. Specifically, the movement of "Raising Saving Pigs" was launched in 2014, so far has mobilized about 94% of the households to participate. In 2017, the commune broke 1428 plastic pigs, collected more than 1 billion VND. This money was used to buy books and notebooks by the households at the beginning of the school year.

The movement of "Study Encouragement Drum” has been implemented in 8 out of 11 villages of the commune. Mr. Trinh Van Phap, the Secretary of Tan Thanh Hamlet, said: The movement of "Study Encouragement Drum” was launched in 2014 via loudspeaker systems. Since the launch, the movement has brought about practical effects. Every night, when hearing the drum, the household will turn down the television, remind their children to sit at the desk for studying. The number of children of the hamlet passing universities and colleges is the highest one in the commune. In 2 school years of 2016 - 2017 and 2017 - 2018, the hamlet have had pupils achieving national good pupils.
