(HBO) - In July, August, when the rainy season comes, the poor households need concrete houses to be protected from storms. This is also the time when the houses of "the farmer’s warm shelters" are in a hurry to be completed for poor peasant members to settle down.

The Farmers' Association of Lac Thuy District gives supporting money to support the construction of "The Farmer's Shelter" for the member Trinh Van Nam in An Phu village, An Lac commune.

In early July, the Farmer Association of Yen Thuy District handed over the house to its member Ms. Bui Thi Minh in the Farmers' Association Branch of Trung Hoa 1, Phu Lai commune. The house has a total area of 83 m2, totaling 125 million VND, of which 20 million VND is supported by the Farmers 'Association Fund, the Farmer’s Association organizations in the commune and village supported working days of 3 million VND, the rest was donated by the family’s mobilization.

Most recently, on September 11, the Farmers' Association of Lac Thuy district donated supporting Fund and handed over the "Farmer's Shelter" to its member, Mr. Trinh Van Nam, in An Phu hamlet, An Lac commune right when the building is completed and the family move to this new house. The house has an area of 85 m2, the total construction cost is 100 million VND, of which the supporting fund is 20 million VND and the members of the commune association help a working day worth 10 million VND.

The spirit of sharing, helping people in poorer circumstances is the deep meaning of the campaign to build funds for "The Farmer's Shelter" launched by the Provincial Association of Farmers from 2011. Mr. Nguyen Thi Huong Hai, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, said that in the past eight years, the fund raising movement has spread and received the support and participation of a large number of officials and members. Each year, from the support fund, each district or city has at least one "The Farmer's Shelter" built. Especially, in the 2018-2023 term, 11/11 districts and cities have set annual targets to mobilize officials and members to contribute, build a house of "The Farmer's Shelter" with the signpost of the Association. The campaign has a positive effect, encouraging and timely helping to stabilize the life of poor members, while promoting the emulation movement for economic development, solidarity to help each other reduce poverty and build up new rural area together.
