(HBO) - With the efforts of the Party Committee, the authorities and the local people in the area, in December 2015, Ngoc Luong commune (Yen Thuy) completed the target in the program of building New Rural Area.


The model of transforming the mixed garden, to plant Dien grapefruit, brings high income for Dai Dong Cooperative, Ngoc Luong commune.

From 2016 to now, every year, the Party Committee, Commune People's Council have issued Resolutions on economic development. In particular, the main task is to promote the field gathering and plot exchanges to make large sample fields; attaching importance to building and multiplying production models of high economic efficiency; promoting the socio-economic infrastructure; combining production development with agricultural restructuring, increasing linkages along with the production value chains in association with product consumption and attaching importance to vocational training for rural laborers. Accordingly, the Commune People's Committee promulgated and implemented effectively the mechanisms and policies to encourage the production development, such as supporting mechanization and varieties of plants and animals; supporting about lending interest rates and investment in infrastructure, developing linked production chain, etc. That has achieved high efficiency and practicality.

In order to meet the objectives and requirements, from 2016 up to now, Ngoc Luong commune has cooperated with 21 training courses on scientific and technical transfer of planting citrus, peanut, rice, maize and taro to over 700 turns of participants. In particular, in 2018, they successfully implemented the models of planting LTH31 and Tan Uu rice varieties in Doi 1 hamlet, planting new maize varieties in Ho 1 and Lieu villages. The model of transforming the mixed garden to plant Dien grapefruit of Dai Dong Cooperative with 68 households participating, after deducting expenses, earned the profit from 270-300 million VND on an average of 1 hectare. The model of raising ducks and musk ducks of Lieu village Cooperative creates regular jobs for dozens of laborers. In each period, the Cooperative makes the breeding and feeding from 800 to 1,000 animals, bringing value from 20-25 million VND / batch.

Thanks to the economic development promotion, the material and spiritual life of the local people in Ngoc Luong commune has been improved remarkably. In 2016, the per capita income of the commune reached 27 million VND, but by June, 2018, it raised to 31 million VND, the poverty rate has been decreased from 5.62% in 2016 to 4.05%.
