(HBO) – An exchange programme themed "Our Vietnamese language” for ethnic minority students in the 2018-2019 academic year has been held by Mai Chau district’s division of education and training in Hang Kia commune.

At the event, participants showed their aptitude
for Vietnamese, handwriting skills and painting talents, and took part in folk
games.
The programme aimed to encourage the teaching
and learning of Vietnamese among ethnic minority students, and offer a chance
for them, especially those in education universalising classes, to improve
their Vietnamese language skills.
According to the organising board, many students
had beautiful handwriting and creative layout in their entries. The painting
competition also received many works with clear layout and bright colours.
Notably, the exchange programme also featured 25
booths displaying local specialties with brief introduction in Vietnamese.
The successful event inspired students’ interest
in and use of Vietnamese while encouraging the teaching of the national
language to ethnic minority students.
On this occasion, the Hoa Binh provincial
Department of Education and Training granted certificates of merit to two
collectives and 16 individuals in recognition of their excellent achievements
in education universalisation./.
