(HBO) – The Senior Executive Board of the Elderly People Association of Yen Thuy district held a conference to commend "The typical elderly people good at production and business"in the period of 2012-2017.


The leaders of Yen Thuy district presented certificates of merit to outstanding elderly members in the movement of good production and business.

 

In the period of 2012 - 2017, the associations from district to grassroots levels   have promoted the role of the elderly people in all areas of social life. Particularly, in the emulation movement of "the bright examples of the elderly age" participating in economic development, the elderly members have actively participated in and built appropriate models, applying science and technology into production with high economic efficiency, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the district Party on economic development of the province. Some typical examples are models of growing and farming fresh vegetables in Yen Lac commune, Hang Tram Town, Phu Lai, etc. with the participation of over 300 members, earning about 800 million VND per year. The model of fruit tree plantation like grapefruit, oranges, and mandarins has more than 500 members participating, each year earning nearly 1 billion VND such as the orange cultivation model of Mr. Luong Ba Dich. In industrial and handicraft production, small industry production, there have been many typical models such as the model of production of unburnt bricks of Mr. Hoang Duy Phuong is highly appreciated, the model of planting and using Southern medicinal plants for disease treatment of Mr. Bui Van Phuong in Yen Tri commune, etc.

With the results achieved in the past 5 years, at the conference, there have been 19 typically excellent individuals in production awarded the certificate of the chairman of the district People's Committee. The meeting also set an annual target of 70% of the elderly members in the business and production sector, 10% of which are at good level..

The model of efficient energy lighting - Spreading the light of education

Progress in ethnic minority education

In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the entire Hoa Binh provincial education sector includes 520 educational institutions and schools. Among them are 13 ethnic boarding schools with 153 classes and 4,487 students. Four of these schools have met national standards, reaching 30.7 percent.
