(HBO) – Implementing the movement "Tet for the poor and Agent Orange (AO) victims” 2019 launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society’s Central Committee, the Red Cross Society in Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province, coordinated with the Party Committee and People’s Committee of Cu Yen commune to donate a house for family of Nguyen Thi Quyen at Suoi Re hamlet.

family of Nguyen Thi Quyen from Suoi Re hamlet, Cu Yen commune, to rebuild
house.
Quyen’s family is one of the very poor
households in Cu Yen commune. Suffering from a serious illness and often
hospitalised for treatment, she still has to support two children.
The Red Cross Society in Luong Son district
disbursed 20 million VND (857.6 USD) from the local humanitarian fund 2019 to
support Quyen’s family to build a new house.
The Party Committee and People’s Committee of Cu
Yen commune disbursed 15 million VND (643.2 USD) from the "Fund for the Poor”
to support Quyen’s family.
After over one month, the 50-square-metre house worth
56 million VND (2,401 USD) was completed.
The same day, the
Red Cross Society in Luong Son district coordinated with the Party Committee
and People’s Committee of Truong Son commune transferred over a house to the
family of Bui Thi Duc in Cot Bai hamlet. The
organisation supported Duc’s family with 10 million VND (428.8 USD) to repair
the roof of the house.
It also supported two other poor households in
Tan Thanh and Hop Chau communes to build houses.
The organisation presented one cow worth 15
million VND (643.2 USD) to the family of Dinh Van Dung from Mo hamlet, Luong
Son town, along with 1,800 relief packages worth nearly 400 million VND (17,153
USD) to needy households in the area.
It also received 200 relief packages worth more
than 100 million VND (4,288 USD) from Vingroup to present to poor households in
Truong Son, Tien Son, Cao Duong and Trung Son communes./.
Creating jobs for labourers in general and young people in particular is currently a focus of the province, with vocational training linked to job creation considered one of the strategic breakthrough solutions.
