(HBO) – The labour confederation of Luong Son district has 102 member trade unions at grassroots level with 4,297 members. In the years, the confederation has carried out a wide range of activities to ensure legitimate rights and interests for its members.

In response
to the Month for Workers 2018, the trade unions at grassroots level have ramped
up activities to take care of spiritual and material lives of their members.
Under the direction of the district labour confederation, they organised
various conferences and dialogues to get an insight into the needs of union
members and promote the implementation of democracy at grassroots level. They
also worked with relevant agencies to intensify inspection of the
implementation of policies for workers in accordance with current regulations,
and settle urgent matters and labourers’ petitions in a timely manner.
Meanwhile, trade unions of the business bloc have performed well in signing collective
labour contracts and improving meals during working shifts for workers. All of
the local businesses have provided better meals for their employees, with each
ration valued at 15,000 VND.
In addition, the labour confederation have inked and carried out many
programmes to back its members when they buy insurances and consumption goods.
The confederation has launched a slew of humanitarian and charitable
activities, which have received warm response from many workers. Those include the
"for the poor” fund and gratitude fund.
An the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2018, the confederation sent
delegations to visit and present 207 gifts worth more than 60 million VND to
disadvantaged members. On the occasion of the Month for Workers 2018, gifts
were given to 148 workers with difficult situations while workers who suffered
from workplace accidents also received assistance from the confederation./.
At HANOI JVC Training Center (Hanoi), the Farmers’s Support Center, the Provincial Farmers' Union and VTC1 International Development joint Stock Company recently held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement to link consulting and create the labor resources working abroad for a limited period of time.
In recent years, the education career in Yen Thuy district has changed positively. The school facilities have newly been built and the quality of education has improved.
The Board for Women's Advancement of Hoa Binh province on November 11 officially launched the Action Month for Gender Equality, focusing on preventing and addressing gender-based violence. As part of the event, a special talk was held on the theme of sharing household work for a happy family. The event drew 300 delegates, including Nguyen Van Toan, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and head of the provincial Board for Women's Advancement.

The festival of great national solidarity and culture in 2024 was held at the communal house of Da Bac district on November 5. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Toan and leaders of departments and sectors attended the event.
The Labor Federation of Da Bac district has focused on protecting workers' rights while actively participating in patriotic emulation movements to enhance the creativity and productivity of the local workforces across agencies, organisations and enterprises.
