(HBO) – In an effort to ease difficulties facing local households, police in Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province, have organised charitable programmes and presented gifts to the poor households and students on the occasion of Tet (Lunar New Year) and other holidays. They have also contributed their daily wages to a fund which has been used to buy cows for the poor households.
Two
years ago, Bui Thi Mau’s family in Que Bai 1 hamlet, Dong Lai city, was one of
the six families in the district receiving cows from the police. All of them
had been in especially difficult circumstances.

Lieutenant-Colonel Ngo Cong Minh, deputy head of the movement team of the Tan
Lac police, said over the past two years, his team has accompanied the six
households in production. All the cows have received good care and some of them
are ready to give birth. The cows are the most valuable asset of the families,
raising their hope to escape from poverty.
According to Lieutenant-Colonel Tran Quoc Hoan, deputy head of the Tan Lac
police, the force has annually organised charitable activities and joined hands
with some underprivileged communes in poverty reduction and new-style rural
area building.
The police will continue to support the households and maintain these
activities and programmes in 2019, he said./.

The Steering Committee for Tobacco Harm Prevention and Control of Hoa Binh province, in coordination with the Tobacco Harm Prevention and Control Fund, held a ceremony on May 28 in response to the World No Tobacco Day (May 31) and the National No Tobacco Week (from May 25 to 31). This model not only aims to improve the learning conditions and enhance the education quality, but it also promotes the message of energy saving, energy security, environmental protection and contributes to the goals of socio-economic development.
In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the entire Hoa Binh provincial education sector includes 520 educational institutions and schools. Among them are 13 ethnic boarding schools with 153 classes and 4,487 students. Four of these schools have met national standards, reaching 30.7 percent.
