(HBO) – Hoa Binh province has held a meeting to review local security and social order affairs and the "All people protect the Fatherland’s security” movement in 2018, and to launch tasks for 2019. The event was chaired by Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Quang, seeing the attendance of Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Cuu, and representatives of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

In 2018, the province’s Steering Board 09 actively gave proposals to the provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee regarding the direction of local agencies, sectors, organisations and district administrations to step up relevant activities. They have mobilised the synergy of the whole political system and all people in the combat against crimes, including human trafficking, drugs and prostitution, and the "All people protect the Fatherland’s security” movement. As a result, Hoa Binh has gained many important outcomes, helping to ensure security and order for local socio-economic development.

Addressing the meeting, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Quang asked the public security force to continue bringing into play its key role in keeping local security and order, improving proposals given to the administration, and enhancing coordination with sectors, all-level authorities and localities in realising the six focal tasks.

He also requested the force to keep a good grasp of the local situation so as to stay active in any circumstances. Notably, it is necessary to mobilise the combined strength of the whole political system and all people in fighting against crimes, handling drug addicts, reducing traffic accidents and expanding the "All people protect the Fatherland’s security” movement.

That will greatly help to keep security and order to serve local socio-economic development, he added.
