(HBO) - The Women's Union of Lac Thuy district cooperated with the district police to establish and launch the "safe hamlet for women and children" model in Ninh Ngoai hamlet, An Binh commune.

Leaders of Lac Thuy district Women's Union gave gifts to extremely difficult women and children at the launch.

The model aims to reduce violence against women and girls, especially child sexual abuse. 169 family members participating in the model will be volunteers in the community to actively participate and organize activities to ensure safety for women and children.

The model operates under the management of An Binh Commune People's Committee, the direction of the Women's Union and the Police Department of Lac Thuy district.

At the launch, the district police and the district Women's Union supported the model of 3 million VND; giving 10 gifts to 5 women and 5 children in especially difficult circumstances of Ninh Ngoai hamlet.

After the launch, the police of Lac Thuy district trained on prevention and control of domestic violence, preventing child abuse, avoiding injury accidents and sharing unsafe situations for the members who participated the model.

Progress in ethnic minority education

In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the entire Hoa Binh provincial education sector includes 520 educational institutions and schools. Among them are 13 ethnic boarding schools with 153 classes and 4,487 students. Four of these schools have met national standards, reaching 30.7 percent.
