Nguyen Minh H is currently a 9th-grade student at Dong Tam Secondary and High Secondary School (Lac Thuy). The money "sponsor" for 4 years has contributed to nurturing his dream of going to school.

Since 2016, along with activities in the caring and educational program for teenagers and pioneers, the Communist Youth Union of Lac Thuy District has implemented another program to sponsor poor students overcoming difficulties.

After nearly 4 years of implementation, up to now there have been nearly 200 students with difficult circumstances sponsored by the different levels of the Communist Youth Union in collaboration with other departments and appropriate authorities in the district, giving the opportunity to continue going to school. Additionally, since 2012, the district’s Communist Youth Union has cooperated with the Military Command to review and survey the area, making a list of teenagers and pioneers in need of support and giving bicycles. In the three years alone (2016-2018), the district’s Military Command gave more than 300 bicycles to accompany them on the way to school. In the 2018-2019 school year, the levels of the Communist Youth Union have coordinated to sponsor over 60 students. In this school year 2019-2020the District’s Communist Youth Union is trying to maintain and increase the number of sponsored students.

The secretary of the district’s Communist Youth Union says that every year, the district’s Communist Youth Union and the Team Council promote the coordination with other agencies, the appropriate authorities andbusinesses in and outside the area, together with the fund "Small Plan" to build a "Red scarf" house for typical pioneers with difficult circumstances. On the eve of the new school year this year, such a house will be deployed with the support of 20 million dongs from the district’s Fatherland Front. We strongly believe that these activities not only encourage and nurture beautiful dreams and ambitions for teenagers and pioneers but they also contribute to educating them, the personality formation, the development of good life skills, worthy of the title of Uncle Ho’s descendants.
