(HBO) - The Farmers’ Union of Da Bac district, Hoa Binh province, has inaugurated and transferred a house to Dinh Van Da, a member of the union in Rieng hamlet of Tu Ly commune.

The Da Bac Farmers’ Union assisted Dinh Van Da
with 20 million VND (over 860 USD) sourced from the "Houses for Farmers” Fund,
which is donated by its members, to build the house that covers nearly 41
sq.m.
Aside from the fund’s support, local authorities
and the Farmers’ Union of Tu Ly commune also aided him with over 3 million VND
for the construction, which cost more than 42 million VND in total. Local
residents also joined hands to help complete the house.
"Houses for Farmers” is one of the key
programmes launched by the Da Bac Farmers’ Union.
It is meant to assist poor farmers to overcome difficulties and develop
livelihoods to escape from poverty, thus helping with the national target
programme on sustainable poverty reduction and social security
ensuring./.
