(HBO) - Since the beginning of the year, the Red Cross of Tan Lac district has had many practical and spreading activities, targeting the people in difficult circumstances, especially in the time of Covid-19 epidemic.
The Red Cross of Tan Lac district has been promoting the humanitarian and the charitable work.
The movements and the campaigns such as "Tet for the poor
and the victims of Agent Orange victims”, "Every organization and individual
associating with a humanitarian address”, The Spring Festival”, The
Humanitarian month” ... have brought the positive effect, helping the people in
difficult circumstances ease their difficulties in life”.
The Red Cross has been cooperating with the charitable
organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to promote the
implementation of the social security through supporting money, rice and necessities
for the people in difficult circumstances, the poor children and the disabled
people throughout the district. Implementing the movement "Tet for the poor and
victims of Agent Orange” the New Year of Rat, 2020, the different levels of the
Red Cross presented 1,639 gifts worth 791 million VND for the poor households,
the victims of Agent Orange, the families under the preferential policies. They cooperated with Thien Tam Fund -
Vingroup Group to present gifts to 537 poor households worth 322 million VND.
In addition, the Red Cross cooperated with FACADEMY Company, Anh Ky Company,
other departments, branches, unions, organizations and individuals inside and
outside the province to offer many gifts to the poor children and people in
difficult circumstances, especially in the remote and isolated communes. They
have been supporting the people affected by Covid-19 epidemics. They have
organized many "Humanitarian markets” with the essential goods such as rice,
fish sauce, cooking oil, free clothes in many places in the area. The
prevention, the disaster response, the first aid and search and rescue are
focused by the different levels of the Red Cross.
Along with that, the Red Cross has organized 3 mobile
propaganda on the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemics to many remote
areas, helping the people improve their ability to prevent the disease. They
have coordinated with the District’s Health Center to hold free the medical
examination, counseling and medicine distribution for many people. The compassionate meals and rice have been
distributed to the poor patients at the hospital. The resources from
organizations and individuals inside and outside the province have been
mobilizing to perform philanthropic activities to help the people in difficult circumstances
in the community. The total value of the activities of the Red Cross in the
first 6 months of 2020 reached 1,061 million VND, the number of the assisted
people is 6,336 people.
The voluntary and humanitarian activities have been
contributing to improving the quality of the social security in the area.

The Steering Committee for Tobacco Harm Prevention and Control of Hoa Binh province, in coordination with the Tobacco Harm Prevention and Control Fund, held a ceremony on May 28 in response to the World No Tobacco Day (May 31) and the National No Tobacco Week (from May 25 to 31). The event was chaired by Nguyen Van Toan, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and head of the Steering Committee.
Since 2021, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting (CIIDC) under the Department of Industry and Trade has been implementing a school lighting model as part of the plan for using energy efficiently and economically in Hoa Binh Province in the pẻiod of 2021 - 2025. This model not only aims to improve the learning conditions and enhance the education quality, but it also promotes the message of energy saving, energy security, environmental protection and contributes to the goals of socio-economic development.
In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the entire Hoa Binh provincial education sector includes 520 educational institutions and schools. Among them are 13 ethnic boarding schools with 153 classes and 4,487 students. Four of these schools have met national standards, reaching 30.7 percent.
