(HBO) - Coming back to Yen Hoa commune (Da Bac) in the last days of the year, there is the feelings of revival in the poor countryside after the historic flood in 2017. The economy has been better developing. The traffic system has been repaired and the essential infrastructure works have been paid attention to. In 2020, the average income is estimated at 28.3 million VND per person, and the rate of the poor household accounts for 36.8%. The people's life has gradually been stabilized, the income has improved, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.

The officials of Yen Hoa commune (Da Bac) are sharing the husbandry experiences to help the households increase their income.

Now the wide concrete road has been running into the center of the commune, there are a lot of people living along the two sides of the road, shops have been opened to meet the needs of the local people. In addition to repairing and upgrading the system of the transport infrastructure, the District’s People's Committee has allocated funds to repair and upgrade the commune medical station, Yen Hoa Secondary and High School. They have been paying attention to building the flood-blocking embankment with a height of 2.5 m and a length of more than 100 m in Men hamlet. This is an urgent work to prevent flood water from pouring into the center of the commune, causing flooding, land and rocks slides. The total funding to support the construction of the basic infrastructure is over 20 billion VND.

In the field of economic development, the Party committee and the authorities of the commune have helped people overcome the natural disasters to quickly stabilize their life. According to the statistics in 2020, the total cultivated area of the commune is 462.5 ha. The total herd of cattle and poultry maintains nearly 12,500 heads. 40 hectares of production forests have been newly planted, reaching 200% of the plan. They have expanded the area of tea to 30 hectares, the output is estimated at 60 tons of fresh tea buds. They have been facilitating to support the people in economic development, the commune has entrusted with the district’s Social Policy Bank to create a loan source of 15.2 billion VND. They have actively been coordinating with other departments, branches and unions to organize 12 training courses, 1 vocational training class on husbandry and cultivation, attracting more than 200 turns of participants.

From the supported capital of the Party and the State the commune has focused on overcoming the consequences of the natural disasters to quickly stabilize the people's lives and production. In the coming time, the commune wants to continue getting the investment to upgrade the essential infrastructure systems, especially the inter-village and inter-hamlet roads. In the field of economic development, the commune wants other departments, branches and unions to pay attention to supporting the plant varieties suitable for the ecology, the soil, giving high productivity and value. It is necessary to facilitate the access to the preferential capital to expand production scale. Thereby, the people can gradually stabile their life and improve income, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.
