(HBO) – Cao Phong district’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has collaborated with the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, provincial Public Security Department’s Women’s Union, Red Cross Society and VNPT Hoa Binh to organise the launching of the Winter Volunteer Campaign 2020 and the Spring Volunteer Campaign 2021 in Thach Yen commune.
Participants start the
construction of a concrete yard in Moi hamlet of Thach Yen commune.
Following the launch ceremony, many activities were held.
The organisers presented 38 gift packages to policy beneficiaries and poor
households, while conducting communications on the prevention of sexual abuse
against children to secondary students at Yen Thuong school. The Hoa Binh
chapter of the Red Cross Society offered free health check-ups and medicine to
locals, while the voluntary youngsters joined hands in building a 22- sq.m
concrete yard in Moi hamlet of Thach Yen commune.
On the occasion, Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the
provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council,
presented two computers to the People’s Committee of Thach Yen commune.
The campaign drew a large number of youngsters from
sub-unions, thus promoting the vanguard spirit of the youth in building
new-style rural areas./.
In recent years, under the leadership of the provincial Party Committee and People’s Council, and through the concerted efforts of local Party organisations, authorities, and ethnic communities, Hoa Binh province has achieved significant progress in implementing ethnic affairs and policies. Hoa Binh province's association of education promotion on November 7 held a conference to review its month-long programme and present the "Hoc khong bao gio cung (endless learning)" scholarships for 2024. The Board for Women's Advancement of Hoa Binh province on November 11 officially launched the Action Month for Gender Equality, focusing on preventing and addressing gender-based violence. As part of the event, a special talk was held on the theme of sharing household work for a happy family. The event drew 300 delegates, including Nguyen Van Toan, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and head of the provincial Board for Women's Advancement.
