(HBO) – In 2020, local departments, agencies and sectors of Yen Thuy district, Hoa Binh province, built plans to popularise the Party and State’s law and policies and promote the movement to encourage people to engage in protecting national security through various forms.

The Divsion of Public Security of Yen Thuy in coordination with Hang Tram secondary school organised an event for students to sign commitments to not violate the traffic law.

Bui Van Hai, Chairman of the district People’s Committee, said that as part of efforts to develop the movement, the district has seen the involvement of Party Committees and administration at all levels, with focus on strengthening law communications among locals.

The district People’s Committee directed sectors and organisations in the communication activities, while alerting locals on tricks of criminals.

Meanwhile, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of the district directed its agencies and VFF Committees at lower levels to coordinate closely together in educating locals on the law as well as criminal prevention and combat, thus ensuring security and order. The VFF Committee supported 18 people under community-based education.

At the same time, the district Women’s Union saw the registration of 15,127 members, or 82 percent, to maintain families with no members committing legal violations or suffering social evils.

The district Farmer’s Union maintained the operation of clubs on criminal and social evil prevention and combat, along with activities to popularise the law among its members.

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Yen Thuy district directed the union in communes, towns, organisations and agencies to organise law communication activities among students and young people, including seven meetings on traffic law popularisation, an event for 1,169 members of the union to sign commitments to not use drugs, along with a criminal prevention and combat club.

The War Veterans’ Association at all levels also popularised the Party and State’s law and policies to 3,747 members, while taking part in 295 social order and traffic safety patrols.

Along with communications activities, the district's police have maintained the operation of a mailbox to receive feedback from locals, along with 11 mailboxes in 11 communes and towns. The organisation and operation of 768 self-managed residential areas was completed, along with 115 reconciliation groups, 115 order and security teams, and 116 teams for fire prevention and control as well as three adjunction security groups.

A model of defence-security cultural village was built in Ngoc Luong commune, while the model of drug-free school was maintained in Yen Thuy A and Yen Thuy C High Schools, and Lac Thinh Secondary School. The security self-managed models proved efficiency in preventing legal violations and crimes, while helping educating locals on legal regulations and dealing with disputes from grassroot level, thus contributing to raising public awareness of participating in the movement of all people protecting national security.

Necessary documents are being compiled on the opening of a security clusters in the adjunction area of three districts of Lac Thuy, Lac Son of Hoa Binh province and Thach Thanh district of Thanh Hoa province.

With the engagement of the Party Committees and administration at all levels, the movement of all people protecting national security have been implemented effectively, helping to safeguard security and support socio-economic development in the locality./.

The model of efficient energy lighting - Spreading the light of education

Progress in ethnic minority education

In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the entire Hoa Binh provincial education sector includes 520 educational institutions and schools. Among them are 13 ethnic boarding schools with 153 classes and 4,487 students. Four of these schools have met national standards, reaching 30.7 percent.
