(HBO) - In the first days of the year, there has been a remarkable change in appearance as well as in the people's life in Du Phuong hamlet in Mong Hoa commune (Hoa Binh city).

The industrial and handicraft production establishments in Mong Hoa commune (Hoa Binh city) have been creating jobs for many employees in the area.

The work to renovate and upgrade the road connecting Du Phuong hamlet with Hang Nuoc hamlet, which is about 1.5 km long and the scale of 4 m wide in the surface, is being urgently constructed. The Vice Chairman of Mong Hoa People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Bo says: The project will connect the two hamlets, and the traffic in the area will be completed according to the new standards. Du Phuong - Hang Nuoc will have strong breakthrough conditions. Next to the road, there is a resettlement area for the project of Mong Hoa industrial park, which is also being implemented. Du Phuong village is now like a street in village, the roads have been concreted, the residential houses have been spaciously built with electricity for lighting, the hygienic water, the clean and beautiful landscape. The hamlet has been selected to build a typical model for replication in the commune.

Mong Hoa commune was established on the basis of merging the entire Dan Hoa commune according to Resolution No. 830 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly. In the past, Mong Hoa (the former) and Dan Hoa communes were the locations with many advantages for socio-economic development. The two communes are located on the axis of the National Highway 6, and they were planned to be the key development of industry, handicraft, agriculture and services. With the leadership and the administration of the Party committees, the appropriate authorities and the political system, the two Communes have had many good practices, maintaining many typical models in building a new life. The two communes met the Standard of the new rural area in 2015 and 2017, respectively.

After merging, the apparatus of the Communist Party Committee, the appropriate authorities and the mass organizations have stabilized, promoting the leadership role in implementing the political tasks. Up to now, the commune's infrastructure has been increasingly improved, and it has been invested more and more synchronously, the system of schools, medical stations, cultural houses, traffic and irrigation has been invested to serve the people’s life. According to the assessment, basically, the criteria for building new rural areas according to the new standards have met the requirements. 

In terms of production, there are industrial zones and clusters in the commune, attracting 43 companies operating effectively, creating jobs for thousands of the local employees with the income of 5 - 9 million VND/person/month. There are 3 cooperatives implementing the models to link production and sale of products for the farmers in the commune. The field of agriculture and forestry has been developing in the direction of exploiting the potentials, maintaining the models of husbandry, cultivation, and developing the forest economy effectively. In the whole commune, there are 45 households keeping bees for honey. By 2020, they collected 9,000 liters of honey, which was equivalent to over 1 billion VND / year. Buffalo and cow and ox husbandry has well developed with over 1,000 buffaloes and cows, bringing high economic efficiency ... Per capita income increased from 31.85 million VND (2016) to 48.5 million VND (in 2020). The rate of the poor households has decreased to 1.83%. The officials and the people of the commune have all agreed to respond to the guidelines and the policies of the Party and the State, and they have been actively participated in building the new rural area.

Mr. Nguyen Van Bo, the Vice Chairman of the Commune’s People's Committee says: In the coming time, the commune will innovate and improve the effectiveness of the leadership and the administration. It is necessary to review and mobilize the capital sources to complete building the criteria for new rural areas according to the advanced standards. It is also important to orient and create conditions for the People to develop production and to improve sustainably the people's life. We will prepare the necessary conditions to upgrade the commune to reach the standards of the ward’s level according to the resolution of the Party Committee of Hoa Binh City.
