(HBO) – ABIC Hanoi, a branch of the Agriculture Bank Insurance joint Stock Corporation, and representatives of the Agribank branches in Hoa Binh province and Tan Lac district have presented 70 million VND (over 3,000 USD) under bancassurance to two families whose members borrowing money at Agribank Tan Lac were killed in a landslide in Khanh hamlet of Phu Cuong commune on early October 12.

Hanoi said shortly after being notified of
the deaths, it worked to pay compensation and ensure its clients’ relevant
interests.
It paid 40 million VND
(over 1,700 USD) to the family of Dinh Cong Bang and 30 million VND (over 1,300
USD) to the family of Dinh Cong Huynh. Some members of these households, which
borrowed 70 million VND from Agribank Tan Lac, were killed in the landslide in
Khanh hamlet.

Hanoi has paid 6.5
billion VND (286,000 USD) in compensation to 283 Hoa Binh clients who bought
insurance but sustained injuries or died. It is handling 23 other cases with
total planned compensation of nearly 1.2 billion VND (52,800 USD). Under
bancassurance alone, it has compensated 159 cases with about 5.7 billion VND
(250,800 USD). The customers who got compensation were covered by insurance
through the Agribank network in Hoa Binh./.
