(HBO) – Keeping in mind that public administrative reform plays an important role in local socio-economic development, Hoa Binh’s district of Kim Boi has been focusing on making the public administrative procedures more modern and people-centred.


Facilities at the unit for handling public administrative services of the Kim Boi People’s Committee have been improved to better serve local citizens.

The district has paid attention to modernizing facilities at commune-based units for handling public administrative services, and taken various measures to accelerate public administrative reforms. Since the beginning of this year, the district’s People’s Committee has directed its units to inspect and review the delivery of public administrative services.

Bui Van Chinh, Deputy Chief of the Office of the District People's Committee said the names of on-duty staff and hotline number are listed publicly at the district unit for handing public administrative services to make it more convenient for citizens to contact when necessary. 

The district's master plan for public administrative reforms for each period have been popularized in mass media while the process for receiving, classifying and handling inquiries at the single-window units have been sped up.

The district has also directed its specialized agencies to focus on solving problems in public administrative reforms and creating more favorable conditions for people to access modern public administration system, in order to support business and production activities, particularly in terms of business registration, registration for land use rights, ownership of land property, tax payment, and civil status and household registration.

So far, the district has received 25,968 applications for public administrative procedures, of which 1,848 are lodged online and in 14 fields. The outcomes of the public administrative reforms have positively changed the way of thinking among civil servants, governmental agencies, businesses and citizens in delivery of public administrative services in the area, contributing to socio-economic development and reducing troubles for businesses and citizens./.

Progress in ethnic minority education

In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the entire Hoa Binh provincial education sector includes 520 educational institutions and schools. Among them are 13 ethnic boarding schools with 153 classes and 4,487 students. Four of these schools have met national standards, reaching 30.7 percent.
