(HBO) – A delegation of deputies in the National Assembly and the provincial People’s Council on January 13 presented gifts to poor households and students in Da Bac district on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet), the biggest festival of Vietnamese people in a year.

The delegation presented 20 gift packages to poor students at the Boarding School B for Ethnic Minority Students of Da Bac in Muong Chieng commune, and 100 gifts to the needy in Giap Dat commune, and 10 in Tan Minh commune. Each gift valued 500,000 VND (22 USD).
The delegation also gave gifts worth 1 million VND each to 20 poor households in Doan Ket commune and 20 in Yen Hoa commune.
On the occasion, VNPT Hoa Binh also presented Muong Chieng and Tan Minh communes with 5,000 masks each to help with their COVID-19 prevention work.
Members of the delegation extended New Year wishes to the students and households, expressing hope that they will overcome difficulties to rise in life. They also asked the Party and administration of Da Bac to continue to support local residents, especially policy beneficiaries to improve their living conditions and get rid of poverty.
On the occasion, the delegation made a field trip to Ka Long kindergarten in Dong Chum commune. The kindergarten is located in a resettlement area with 72 households and 27 children at pre-school age. The facility has been seriously downgraded and closed for four years. The delegation held a working session with representatives from the district People’s Committee and the Office for Education and Training of Da Bac to seek solutions to upgrade the school to ensure all local children access pre-school education./.
At HANOI JVC Training Center (Hanoi), the Farmers’s Support Center, the Provincial Farmers' Union and VTC1 International Development joint Stock Company recently held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement to link consulting and create the labor resources working abroad for a limited period of time.

The Board for Women's Advancement of Hoa Binh province on November 11 officially launched the Action Month for Gender Equality, focusing on preventing and addressing gender-based violence. The event drew 300 delegates, including Nguyen Van Toan, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and head of the provincial Board for Women's Advancement.

The festival of great national solidarity and culture in 2024 was held at the communal house of Da Bac district on November 5. Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Toan and leaders of departments and sectors attended the event.
The Labor Federation of Da Bac district has focused on protecting workers' rights while actively participating in patriotic emulation movements to enhance the creativity and productivity of the local workforces across agencies, organisations and enterprises.
