(HBO) - After more than 2 years of merging into Hoa Binh city, the socio-economic face of Ky Son district (old) has been changing day by day. The suburban land has a lot of potential and advantages in front of opportunities to make a strong breakthrough in the future.

Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh route has been invested and built, opening up many opportunities for the gateway land of Hoa Binh city to make a breakthrough in socio-economic development.

Implementing Resolution No. 830/NQ-UBTVQH14, dated on December 17th, 2019 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of the administrative units of the districts and communes in the province, the entire Ky Son district (old) was merged into Hoa Binh City from January 1st, 2020. After more than 2 years of merging, the land of Ky Son is increasingly transformed. The most obvious change is that the essential infrastructure system, especially the roads to the villages and hamlets, is increasingly invested in a synchronous manner. In the area, the arterial road is National Highway 6 running through, and Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh road was built in parallel to it, which has been creating a driving force to promote the socio-economic development.

Going from Hoa Binh city to Hanoi capital along Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh road, you can clearly see the change of the lands that were previously considered the remote area of the old Ky Son district. There have been many spacious new houses rising up, the trade of goods has become more and more vibrant. Along with that, the new projects, the industrial zones and the clusters are being built, which has been contributing to creating the sustainable livelihoods for the local people. Quang Tien is a commune established on the basis of merging two communes, Yen Quang and Phuc Tien. Previously, the two communes were considered as the remote areas, the people's lives faced many difficulties due to the difficult traffic. However, Quang Tien commune has had many favorable conditions for a breakthrough in recent years.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, the Vice Chairman of the Communal People's Committee said: After merging the communes, especially when the district was merged into Hoa Binh city, the people's lives have changed markedly, especially in the economic development. This is because there is Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh road running through the communes, which is convenient for traffic and goods trade with the neighboring areas. Along with that, there are more than 30 investment projects with the industrial clusters and industrial parks built, contributing to creating jobs for the local people.

According to the Vice Chairman of the Communal People's Committee, there is an operating company in the area that has created jobs for many local employees. The other projects are clearing the ground and they are supported by the local people. After the industrial zones and clusters come into operation, it is expected to create jobs not only for the people in the commune but it also creates jobs for the people in neighboring communes. In addition to those "urbanization” changes, Quang Tien has also made great effort in the implementation of the National Target Program on building a new countryside. Thereby, with the motto that the State and the people work together, the People in the commune have contributed their efforts and money to build the essential infrastructure.

In 2020, the commune completed 18 out of the 19 criteria, by the end of 2021, the commune had completed 19 out of the 19 criteria for building a new countryside, the per capita income has improved significantly. Before megering, the commune reached 35 million VND/person/year, by the end of 2021, it reached 48 million VND/person/year. The rate of the poor households decreased to 0.6%. Taking advantage of the potentials, many households in the commune have been actively developing their economy and production with the appropriate directions. They are the models of growing fruit trees and raising native pigs, chickens, goats and rabbits of Mr. Nguyen Van Bien’s family in Trung Muong hamlet, Mr. Nguyen Khac An’s family in Van Nam hamlet. These are 2 models selected to build the model gardens in Quang Tien commune.

It can be said that the day-to-day changes of Quang Tien commune are the typical image of the transformation of Ky Son district. The land at the gateway to the city, adjacent to Hanoi capital, has many potentials and advantages to make a breakthrough and become one of the driving forces for the economic development of the province. After more than 2 years of "returning” to Hoa Binh city, the warm springs are present in the suburbs...
