(HBO) – In response to the rapid vaccination campaign in spring 2022 launched by the Prime Minister, in the days prior to the Lunar New Year (Tet) and during the holiday, Hoa Binh has implemented its vaccination campaign in a quick and safe manner.

On February 8 morning, Nguyen Thi Em, over 70
years old, from Luong Son district arrived early at a COVID-19 vaccination site
to get her health checked before getting her booster shot. The woman said her
old age and blood pressure disease made her worried. She noted the health
staff’s careful check-up and consultation helped her to feel more secure when
getting the injection.
On the days prior to Tet, the district's
steering committee for COVID-19 prevention and control has simultaneously
administered the booster dose to eligible people. So far, the rate of local
people getting the first shot against COVID-19 has reached 101.96 percent.
According to Bui Thanh Hai, deputy director of
Tan Lac district’s health center, from February 8, the district has given the
3rd dose and the booster dose at district-level and commune-level health stations.
To date, more than 70 people with contraindications have been vaccinated
safely. Currently, the district's rates for the coverage of the first, second
and third doses are 98.03 percent, 94.96 percent, and 54.47 percent,
respectively. The rate for children aged 12 - 17 reached 99.96 percent.
According to the provincial Department of
Health, following the Prime Minister's direction on organising a rapid
vaccination campaign in the spring of 2022, Hoa Binh has issued and implemented
its plan.
Accordingly, the local campaign lasts from
February 9 to March 15, toward a goal of completing the third dose injection
for people over 18 years old, to ensure that the vaccination is given to the
elderly, people with underlying diseases, frontline workers, workers at
industrial zones, and those eligible for vaccination. As of February 15, Hoa
Binh had administered 1,554,815 shots. The total numbers of people receiving
the first, second and third doses hit 21,036; 249,712; and 344,785,
respectively.
In the coming time, the health sector will
continue to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant
departments, sectors, and localities in organising the rapid implementation of
the vaccination campaign. It targets to complete the injection of the basic
doses for people aged 12 years and older as well as the additional and booster
doses for people from 18 years old following the schedule set by the
Government, the Ministry of Health, and the provincial People's Committee./.

In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the entire Hoa Binh provincial education sector includes 520 educational institutions and schools. Among them are 13 ethnic boarding schools with 153 classes and 4,487 students. Four of these schools have met national standards, reaching 30.7 percent.
