(HBO) – Minister of Justice Le Thanh Long has led a working delegation of the ministry to the northern mountainous province of Hoa Binh and presented 150 million VND to help the locality overcome consequences caused by unusual rains and floods.

Provincial leaders briefed the working delegation on heavy losses in humans, assets, production and infrastructure caused by downpours and floods in the province from October 9-12.


They thanked the ministry’s support and proposed the minister ask for further aid from the Government to address landslides at Ong Tuong hill (Hoa Binh city) to prevent short and long-term risks for lower area of the Hoa Binh hydropower plant.


Expressing his sympathy to the provincial authorities over the damage, especially families suffering human and asset losses, Long hoped that under the direction of the local People’s Committee, the province will overcome the aftermath soon, particularly the search for missing victims.


He promised to report to the Government and discuss with relevant ministries and agencies to draw up solutions to landslide risks at Ong Tuong hill area./.
