(HBO) - In 3 days (from March 22 to 24), in Quang Ninh province, the Ministry of Education and Training collaborated with the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province to organize the 11th National Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the school year of 2022 - 2023.
The delegate of students from Hoa Binh province and two instructors were honored to win the prizes at the national competition.
The competition attracted the participation of 70 units with a total of 143 projects of 272 students (including 48 students at the lower secondary level, 224 students at the high school level). The projects belong 17 fields including the embedded systems; chemistry; biochemistry; animal science; plant science; material science; social and behavioral sciences; mechanical engineering; enviromental engineering; biomedical engineering; energy; physics; system software; intelligent robots and computers; physics and astronomy; microbiology; translational medicine; biomedical and health sciences.
There is the participation of 4 students from Hoa Binh province with 2 projects that have been highly appreciated and won the convincing results: The project "The smart air conditioner fan using geothermal energy” (the embedded system field) of 2 students, Pham Dinh Tuan Phong and Cao Minh Hung (Hoang Van Thu High School for the Gifted) won the second prize. The project "Learning and preserving the New Year's customs of Muong ethnic people in Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province” (social and behavioral sciences) of 2 students, Bui Thi Ngan and Bui Thi Lan Anh (Tan Lac District’s Secondary & High Boarding School for the Ethnic Minorities) has won the promising prize. These are the two projects that have won the first prizes at the provincial level, the Science and Technology competition for the high school students in the school year of 2022 - 2023. In which, Tan Lac District’s Secondary & High Boarding School for the Ethnic Minorities is the school that has the students’ participation in the national science and technology competition for the for time.
This result once again affirms the intelligence of Hoa Binh province's students when participating in the national science and technology playgrounds, creating more motivation for the province's education and training sector to continue improving the quality of the spearhead education.

This model not only aims to improve the learning conditions and enhance the education quality, but it also promotes the message of energy saving, energy security, environmental protection and contributes to the goals of socio-economic development.
In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the entire Hoa Binh provincial education sector includes 520 educational institutions and schools. Among them are 13 ethnic boarding schools with 153 classes and 4,487 students. Four of these schools have met national standards, reaching 30.7 percent.
