(HBO) - In harmony with the exciting emulation spirit of the youth throughout the whole province and the whole country, the Youth Union at all levels of Lac Son district has upheld the spirit of enthusiasm, volunteerism and creativity of the youth, carrying out many practical and meaningful activities for the community, joining hands to ensure the social security in the locality.


The members of the Youth Union in Yen Phu commune (Lac Son) were cleaning up the environment in the area of the river and streams in the area.

Responding to Youth Month in 2023, 100% of the establishments of Youth Union in the district deployed the volunteer youth teams to collect and treat waste points; propagating and mobilizing the people to sort the waste right at home, limiting the plastic waste; promoting the use of the biological products in the treatment of agricultural by-products; collecting and sorting the waste at home; doing the environmental sanitation in the streets and the areas within the area of Buoi river; planting trees to protect forests; removing the classified ads, preserving and protecting the urban landscape; building the models of the youth tree roads, the youth gardens, and the models of residential areas that say no to plastic waste and limiting the use of single-use plastic bags in association with the protection of the ecological environment.

In addition, the Youth Union at the grassroots has promoted the relaying activities to school, coordinating with the appropriate departments, agencies, mass organizations and socio-political organizations to offer scholarships to the poor students overcoming difficulties and the students in special circumstances. During the Youth Month, the youth participated in voluntary blood donation and assisted in serving the blood donation day at the District’s Cultural House with the counseling and caring activities for blood donors. 30 members of the district’s Youth Union participated in the voluntary blood donation manes "the Red Sunday” and the Spring Festival of Hoa Binh taking place in Hoa Binh City. They have paid attention to the acrivities of "Repaying somebody for his favor” and "When drinking water, remember its sourse”, taking care of the families of the wounded and sick soldiers, the families of martyrs, and the families of people with meritorious services to the revolution on the occasion of the Lunar New Year. They have coordinated to present 1.450 sets of gifts worth 700 million VND and lots of clothes, books and necessities for the families under the preferentialpolicies and the poor students overcoming difficulties.

Ms. Phan Thi Hong Van, the Secretary of Lac Son District’s Youth Union, says: The theme of the Youth Union's work program in 2023 is "The year of digital transformation of the activities of the Youth Union". The various activities, many jobs are undertaken by the volunteered youth force. They include visiting and giving gifts to the families under the preferential policies and the children in difficult circumstances; taking action to ensure security and safety; joining hands to build a new countryside. Typically, in the first quarter, the District’s Youth Union coordinated to organize the groundbreaking ceremony to build the support items on the campus of Ngoc Lau High & Secodary School with a total cost of over 230 million VND. The items include building a new standard toilet area for the students. Its scale includes 2 separate male and female restrooms; 4 wash basins; 150 m2 expansion of the school yard to meet the playground and school activities; completing the reading library for the students.

During the peak period of joining hands voluntarily to build a new countryside, the youth of Lac Son district repaired and cleared 14 km of rural roads, built 5 youth flower routes, the project "Lighting up the country road, "the Youth Incubator”, taking actions to remove the black spots on the environmental pollution. At the peak activity day of the Youth Month, the District’s Youth Union gave the signboard to the provincial youth project "Lighting up the countryside”; giving gifts to 5 former volunteer youths, 10 scholarships to the disadvantaged students, cleaning and sanitizing the landfill area of An Nghia commune. Especially, the district-level youth project nnamed "Digital transformation in propaganda and promotion of the red addresses, the historical and cultural relics” has been launched. In addition, the Youth Unions at all levels organized a Saturday to handle the administrative procedures for the People, supporting the people to register for the electronic identification, using VNeid application and performing the online public services. The practical and meaningful works and activities towards the grassroots have mobilized the youth force of the communes and the town to actively participate, thereby it helps affirm the role and position of the Youth Union and the mêmbers of the Youth Union.

The model of efficient energy lighting - Spreading the light of education

Progress in ethnic minority education

In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the entire Hoa Binh provincial education sector includes 520 educational institutions and schools. Among them are 13 ethnic boarding schools with 153 classes and 4,487 students. Four of these schools have met national standards, reaching 30.7 percent.
