Hoa Binh won two prizes at the "Listening to your children” contest held by the Vietnam Women’s Union to raise gender equality awareness among ethnic students.

An excellent painting of the "Leaders of Changes” Club from the Ba Khan Primary and Secondary School in Son Thuy commune, Mai Chau district won the second prize. Meanwhile, the consolidation prize went to a video made by the "Leaders of Changes” Club from the Da Phuc Secondary School in Yen Thuy district.

The "Listening to your children” contest was launched in May 2023, with the participation of ethnic people from 50 cities and provinces across the nation.

As many as 211 entries with 193 paintings and 18 videos that illustrate the kids’ dreams of a happy family and gender equality were sent to the organising board.

The contest aimed at promoting the role and participation of children, especially girls, in the communication work to raise public awareness of gender equality, making contributions to building a safe environment for children in the mountainous areas.
