At Hoa Binh city, Hoa Binh province, the launching ceremony of the Campaign to increase access to family planning services in ethnic minority and mountainous provinces with high fertility rates took place.

33 provinces and cities have high birth rates, difficult economic conditions and limited quality of human resources. Hoa Binh is one of 33 provinces and cities on the list. The entire province has a population of nearly 900 thousand people. In which, the Muong ethnic group accounts for over 63%; 87 communes of region II and region III. The province has been actively implementing the provision of family planning services on all 3 channels: free, social marketing and socialization.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Toan called on all officials, civil servants, public employees and people of Hoa Binh province to continue to thoroughly grasp fertility reduction, strive to achieve and maintain replacement fertility levels. 

After the launching ceremony, a parade took place on the streets of Hoa Binh city to propagate the Campaign to increase access to family planning services.
