As many as 79,988 locals joined compulsory social security scheme as of February, accounting for 93.76% of the annual plan and up 1.5% from the same time last year. There were 71,830 people covered with unemployment insurance, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%. Meanwhile, 796,322 held health insurance cards, or 90% of the population.

Total premium from social insurance, health
insurance and unemployment insurance topped 231 billion VND (9.35 million USD)
in February, increasing 52% from the previous month. There were 65,085 medical checks and treatments
covered by health insurance in February.
During the first two months of the year, the
local Social Security flexibly carried out various measures to engage more
people in the social insurance and health insurance schemes, and promote the
collection of the insurance premium.
Communications works were enhanced through
organising conferences, hanging banners, handing out leaflets about social
insurance and health insurance, and posting related stories on the local Social
Security’s portal, among others, helping improve locals’ awareness of the
schemes.
Besides, the sector is receiving and handling
dossiers related to social insurance and unemployment insurance benefits, and
returning results in a timely fashion. It is also joining hands with local
insurance-covered medical establishments to ensure the rights of the
participants.

In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the entire Hoa Binh provincial education sector includes 520 educational institutions and schools. Among them are 13 ethnic boarding schools with 153 classes and 4,487 students. Four of these schools have met national standards, reaching 30.7 percent.
