Promoting the role of gathering the great solidarity of the entire people, the Fatherland Front of Kim Boi district has connected with organizations and individuals to mobilize the people to contribute and build the fund "For the Poor”. From the fund, they have supported the new construction, upgrading, and repairing the houses, the spacious and warm houses, creating conditions to help the poor people settle down, gradually stabilize their lives and escape poverty.

The leader of the Fatherland Front of Kim Boi district awarding support to the Great House of Solidarity to Ms. Bui Thi Chien's family from Coc hamlet, Vinh Dong commune.

At the end of August 2023, Ms. Bui Thi Chien's family from Coc hamlet, Vinh Dong commune, received a great joy when the district’s Fatherland Front handovered the spacious and sturdy Great House of Solidarity with a total area of 50 m2 and with the construction cost of over 100 million VND. As a poor household, Ms. Chien and her child have lived in a damp, degraded old house for many years. Their dream of a solid house would have been difficult to come true without the support of 30 million VND from the district’s Fatherland Front, along with the help of the party committees, the commune’s and hamlet’s authorities and the relatives. Ms. Chien excitedly said: Since the day I lived in a new house with everyone's warmth and love, I no longer have to worry when it rains with strong wind. Once I have a stable place to live, I feel secure in production and having income to cover my life to escape poverty.

For many years, Mr. Bui Van Phu's family from Dam Rung hamlet, Vinh Tien commune, has lived in a 4-level house that has seriously degraded. Mr. Phu himself is often sick, and he cannot do heavy work, and his life is really difficult, so Mr. Phu does not dare to dream of building or repairing a house. Knowing his difficult situation, in early 2023, the district’s Fatherland Front decided to deduct 30 million VND from the fund "For the Poor” so that he could mobilize more funds to build a new house.

Mr. Phu says: Knowing about the news that I received the financial support to build a house, I was very happy, however, the building cost and the material prices have increased and I am poor, I do not have extra money, so at first I do not dare to accept. Luckily, the commune, hamlet, and relatives have helped me with the additional funds and I dare to demolish the old house and build a new one. During the construction process, the women members, the neighbors, and the relatives gathered to support labor, transport materials and necessary conditions and after 3 months of starting the construction, the new house of over 60 square meters was completed. This is a great joy for my family because we have a sturdy house, not being afraid of storms anymore.

The main resource to support the construction and repairing the Houses of Great Solidarity for the poor households and the households with housing difficulties comes from the joint support of the generous groups and individuals in the fund "For the Poor” at all levels in Kim Boi district. Especially, there is also support and contributions of labor and materials from the people where the poor live. All are carried out in accordance with the motto "open, transparent, correct object”, "leaving no one behind”.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy, the Head of the District’s Party Mass Mobilization Committee, the Chairman of the Kim Boi District’s Fatherland Front, says: The district’s Fatherland Front has directed the Fatherland Front of the communes and town to develop plans and organize campaigns to support the construction of the fund "For the Poor” at all levels during the peak month "For the Poor” to propagate and mobilize the people to arouse the spirit of solidarity and mutual love in the community. During the period of 2019 - 2023, the district’s Fatherland Front evaluated, mobilized the resources and deducted from the district's fund "For the Poor” to support the construction of 95 new Houses of Great Solidarity with a total cost of over 2.8 billion VND.

Each House of Great Solidarity that is completed and donated is that one more family has fewer difficulties in life. The House of Great Solidarity is not only a practical gift with the profound humanistic meaning, expressing the spirit of solidarity, but it is also a great source of encouragement for the poor households to stabilize their housing and feel secure in production, rising out to escape poverty.
