There has also been a focus on enhancing the capacity and effectiveness of the grassroots information system, as well as improving the infrastructure for information activities.

At the event, members of the delegation suggested the province clarify further details regarding the progress and effectiveness of various tasks and sub-projects in the poverty reduction programme in general, particularly the challenges and obstacles in information poverty reduction, especially in the areas inhabited by ethnic minority groups. They also proposed solutions to improving the capacity of information and communication officers at the grassroots level, and offering support in terms of telecom infrastructure for poor and near-poor households.
