Nature has generously endowed Hien Luong Commune (Da Bac district) with many beautiful landscapes, including the vast and poetic lake area, with clear blue water all year round. After seven years of implementing the community tourism model in the hamlet, three families are participating. The households have invested in improving the technical infrastructure and service quality of the homestays to meet standards and provide increasingly professional services. In addition to dining and lodging services, the households also offer a variety of experiences and recreational activities such as cultural performances, campfires, kayaking, stream bathing, and swimming pools. Annually, the district organizes cultural and tourism festivals, contributing to attracting, promoting, and boosting the development of community tourism in the hamlet.
Ke Hamlet is home to 115 households of the Muong ethnic group. Since the development of community tourism, the livelihoods of the people have improved, and cultural exchanges have enriched their spiritual lives, enhancing the awareness of preserving and promoting cultural heritage. The hamlet maintains cultural performance teams and groups linked to provide community tourism services, contributing to job creation and income generation. Through tourism activities, the main production occupations and the consumption of local lake specialties, especially cage fish of the households, have been better introduced and promoted.
In the Hoa Binh lake area, the community tourism model has relatively developed in localities with typical products being the exploration of ethnic village culture, kayaking, boating, swimming, and various activities linked to the daily life and production of the people. Along with other community tourism destinations in the tourist area, Ke Hamlet community tourism offers interesting experiences for groups of tourists who love cultural and natural landscape adventures. This is also one of the friendly and attractive destinations that attract many visitors on their journey to explore the Hoa Binh Lake tourist area.
The People’s Committee of Tan Lac district recently hosted a cultural, sports and tourism festival of local highland communes and a ceremony to receive the Heritage Tree designation.
