The airline will operate four flights per
week with Airbus A321 aircraft to meet the increasing travel demand of
passengers between the two countries.
The new route marks an important step in
the implementation of a cooperation deal on trade, tourism and aviation promotion
signed between the provincial People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa and Vietnam
Airlines.
Luu Anh Tuan, head of the Vietnam Airlines
Branch in the RoK, said the carrier opened the first flight linking Ho Chi Minh City with Seoul in 1993.
He said the freshly-launched flight is the
fourth air route linking a locality of Vietnam
with Seoul after the Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City/Da
Nang – Seoul routes, raising the total flights
per week between Vietnam
and the RoK to 53.
The flights from Cam Ranh airport in Nha Trang city will depart at 21:35 on
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, while those from Incheon airport
in Seoul will
take off at 6:20 (local time) on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The flight duration will take five hours each way.-VNA
