(HBO) - With an area of over 4000m2, Museum of Muong Ethnic Cultural Heritage (Address at No. 28, Group 6, Thai Binh Ward, Hoa Binh City) is displaying 3,000 artifacts including stones, bronzes, ceramics, and handicraft knitwear, spiritual cultural and traditional cultural products. The space and display products seem to create a picture of a small Muong ethnic village. But what impressed us the most to know is that it is a private museum.

Mr. Bui Thanh Binh, the Director of the Museum, said: "Originated from the passion for ethnic culture together with the concern to realize that the cultural values of the Muong ethnic people have been lost over time, I have come up with the idea of collecting cultural objects of Muong ethnic group, which was the original idea for the museum's establishment, the museum was decided in 2012, but after more than two years of preparation and collecting artifacts, the museum was officially opened in April of 2014 and started to operate since then."

In addition to exhibiting artifacts according to the date, the Museum also has a special exhibition house on: the official Lang of Muong area; the artifacts and antiques of the official Lang’s life; the exhibition and introduction of the life of the normal Muong ethnic family. The highlight of the museum is the general library with more than 5,000 books of various types to look up and introduce Muong ethnic culture. To offer visitors with more chances to enjoy and learn more deeply about the culture of Muong ethnic cuisine, on the premises of the museum there is also a food court with more than 50 typical and traditional dishes with abundant Muong ethnic cultural identities such as blue rice, grilled fish, steamed vegetables, cooked chicken with sour young bamboo, barbecue meat with Doi seeds, etc.

Eagerly discovering and experiencing Muong ethnic cutural space, Ms. Bui Thanh Mai (Quan Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi) shared: "I am a person of Muong ethnic minority but I was born and grew up in Hanoi. I have a little chance to learn about Muong ethnic culture. When coming there, I was introduced to Doi calendar of Muong ethnic people, I was also told about the historical legend of Laying Land – Laying Water, tried beating Muong gongs and eating traditional dishes of Muong ethnic people, etc. That was very interesting. I will certainly come back there when I have a chance. "

After nearly 4 years of operation, Muong Ethnic Cultural Heritage Museum has gradually become a reliable place to keep, display and retain the "soul" of Muong ethnic culture. This is also an ideal destination for those who love Muong ethnic culture and have opportunities to study and experience the ethnic culture. In addition, the museum is a significant evidence of the success of socialization in preserving and promoting cultural identity.
